Tony Bornes Jr., 26, is charged with first-degree reckless injury with use of a dangerous weapon, the television station reported. Also arrested was Isaac Ali, 21, who was charged with obstructing an officer, WTMJ reported.

Both men were charged Friday, according to a criminal complaint.

According to the complaint, Bornes allegedly beat and stabbed the 60-year-old Department of Public Works officer. The alleged incident occurred after the officer placed a ticket on the car belonging to Bornes' cousin, WISN reported. The victim told investigators he wrote the ticket because a vehicle parked in a driveway stuck out over a sidewalk, the television station reported.

After Bornes complained, he allegedly attacked the victim with punches and kicks, WTMJ reported. Bornes then left, the radio station reported. Ali was reportedly watching the attack but did not intervene.

Police said the victim was stabbed three times, WISN reported.
