HS Results 11/25: Badin girls basketball bests Preble Shawnee

The Badin girls basketball team started their season off on a high note, besting Preble Shawnee 50-39.

Badin scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to post the win over Preble Shawnee.

Badin was led by Emma Broermann who tallied 17 points on the night, eight of which came in that 13-point fourth quarter rush.

Shelby Nusbaum followed close behind with 14 points. Nusbaum also netted two of the three 3-pointers for Badin. Macy Harper had the third.

Nicole Sims led Preble Shawnee with 13 points, tacking on a 3-pointer.

Jenna Lovely and Breanna Woodward each netted two 3-pointers for Preble Shawnee.

Girls Basketball

Badin 50, Preble Shawnee 39: Emma Broermann led Badin to victory with 17 points, while Shelby Nusbaum tacked on 14. Nicole Sims led PS with 13 points.

Bowsher 83, Meadowdale 9: Jaylnne Smith was the leading scorer for Meadowdale.

Carlisle 49, Tri-County North 42: Christa Harris led Carlisle with 16 points, while Caitlyn Stewart tacked on 15 points and netted all three of Carlisle’s 3-pointers on the night. Aubrey Stupp had 14 points for TCN in the loss, while Megan Poling and Cassi Stinson each tacked on 13 points. Poling earned two 3-pointers and Stinson tallied one.

Clinton-Massie 44, Dayton Christian 36: Johanna Theetge tallied 14 points in the CM victory. Camryn Collinsworth netted 16 in the DC loss.

Covington 60, Fairlawn 29: Samantha Whiteman led with 20 points. Makenzie Long and Lillian Hamilton each tallied 10.

Eaton 64, Graham 47: Katelyn Nash was the high scorer for Graham in the second round Annie Oakley Shootout matchup.

Fairmont 44, Hiland 37: Madison Bartley paved the way to victory with 17 points. Teammate Mali Morgan-Elliott tacked on 10. Madeline Westbeld and Makira Webster each netted a 3-pointer.

Franklin 52, Sheridan 49: Layne Ferrell contributed nearly half of Franklin’s points on the night, netting 22. Ferrell also had nine rebounds, while Kaylee Harris added on seven rebounds and seven points.

Greenon 77, Miami Valley 16: Reagan Ware led with a whopping 24 points on the night. Sierra Potter netted 18, while Delaney Benedict tacked on 15.

McAuley 63, Lakota East 42: Megan Hatfield netted 13 points on the night, also amassing nine rebounds and sinking three 3-pointers. Ally David tacked on six points and an additional 3-pointer.

Mercy 57, Alter 35: Caitlin Carruth and MaKayla Blount each had nine points in the loss. Carruth also went 1-for-1 on 3-pointers.

Miamisburg 60, Middletown 50: Three Miamisburg girls tallied in double figures. Emily Kepple led with 21 points, while Alex Sperry tacked on 13. Abby Carter rounded out the scoring with 10 points.

Miami East 78, Mechanicsburg 53: Morgan Haney led Miami East with 32 points. Kasey Schipfer was the leading scorer for Mechanicsburg with 26 points. Schipfer also tallied two 3-pointers, four assists and three rebounds.

Minster 53, Jackson Center 27: Demaris Wolf led Minster with 18 points.

Olentangy 71, Urbana 18: Alaina Lyons scored just over half of Urbana’s points, earning 10 on the night. Kinleigh White and Shelby Stoops each tacked on six rebounds.

Seton 61, Chaminade Julienne 48: Staci Greene tallied 14 points, six of which came from 3-pointers in the loss. Dallas Jones followed closely beind with ten points. Annie Weckesser and Courtney Redd each nailed 3-pointers.

Springboro 76, Toledo Scott 27: Peyton Nation led Springboro with 16 points, while teammate Jordan Diehl tacked on 11.

Summit County Day 56, Tecumseh 53: Presley Griffitts came out strong, putting up 26 points for Tecumseh in the loss. Corrine Thomas followed closely behind, tacking on 21 points for the Arrows.

Twin Valley South 63, Northridge 28: Kelsie Shafer netted 14 points in the TVS victory. Loraine Reeder tallied 12 in the Northridge loss.

Versailles 62, Tri-Village 44: Kami McEldowney led Versailles in scoring for the second consecutive night with 20 points. Lissa Siler had 12 points for TV in the losing effort.

Wayne 54, Gilmour Academy 42: Bree Hall tallied 19 points in the win. Nyla Hampton was a close second with 14 points.

Waynesville 54, Legacy Christian 48: Rachel Murray netted 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in the Waynesville victory. Erica Hess put up 22 points for LC in the loss.

Girls Bowling

Coldwater 2611, Ottawa Glandorf 1766: Emily Fortener led with high games of 199 and 226. Alison Fox bowled a 183 and Lauren Wenning tacked on a 178 in the Coldwater victory.

Boys Bowling

Coldwater 2895, Ottawa Glandorf 2553: JasonWenning bowled a 225 and a 125 to lead Coldwater. Ethan Sudhoff and Evan Diller tacked on a 212 game and a 211 game respectively in the win.
