There were thousands of festival-goers, all of us getting soaked in the rain as we waited for the fireworks to begin at 10 p.m.

Was it worth it? Definitely!

Besides being pretty, Independence Day fireworks remind us of our freedom in this country, and for that, we have tremendous reason to rejoice.
