The Dayton area's second Steak Escape served its first customers starting 11 a.m. on Monday at 6201 Wilmington Pike at Clyo Road. The restaurant is located inside the BP convenience store at that heavily traveled intersection near Miami Valley Hospital South.

The Dayton Mall restaurant will remain open, “and we’re hoping to expand to add more locations,” Steak Escape franchise owner Michael Jraisat told this news outlet.

The new Steak Escape seats 28, has a drive-through, delivers, and will offer catering, as well as a loyalty/rewards program, Jraisat said.

“Opening this place is only the first step in a long road ahead,” Jraisat said. “we are very popular in the Dayton Mall and surrounding area, but we still want to get recognized outside the mall, and I feel like that’s going to take some time.”

“The concept of a cheesesteak and hot-off-the-grill subs is popular in this area. One of the things that makes Steak Escape unique is our fresh-cut hot fries. We cut and blanch our fries every day. They are never frozen.”

The restaurant is still hiring, Jraisat said.

The new Steak Escape’s hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Steak Escape was founded in 1982 in Columbus. The cheesesteak restaurant chain operates three Columbus-area restaurants and two Toledo-area locations in addition to its expanding presence in the Dayton market.
