The wait is over. Opening day for the new Primanti Bros. in Beavercreek is now here. In fact, as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 (one day before opening) people were already camped out to be one of the first 100 in line at opening. The lucky 100 win free sandwiches for a year.

Our special correspondent and resident Pittsburgher and official taste tester, Calvin Lumley, got in line at 3 a.m. and was number 66 out of 100. But he got his free sandwiches.

Want a peek inside the new restaurant but couldn't spend all day in line? We've got you covered.

The Atmosphere

If you're looking for a new sports bar, Primanti Bros. is a good bet. A huge bar is surrounded by TVs in the center of the restaurant. No matter where you sit, you're sure to have a good view of a TV so you don't miss any action. While Primanti Bros. is typically known as a Steelers hangout, all sports fans will feel welcome here. Browns, Bengals, UD and Wright State gear hangs on the walls right next to the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

If you don't want to come for the sports, come for the patio. You know how we love our patios, and the enclosed patio with a fireplace is sure to be a favorite.

The Food

Primanti Bros. is known for its "Almost Famous" sandwiches, which include coleslaw and french fries, on the sandwich. For any vegetarians out there, you can get "Almost Famous" sandwiches meat-free with egg or just cheese.

The Dayton restaurant even has a special sandwich: a hand-pounded, hand-breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. You can get it "Primanti style" with coleslaw and french fries, or plain. Served with a side of spicy beer mustard.

If sandwiches aren't your thing, Primanti Bros. offers a variety of other pub-type food options. We sampled pizza, chicken wings, meatballs and buffalo shrimp -- they were all delicious.

And not to be forgotten: the drinks. The signature drink is the Drunk Duck. It's green and packs a punch without tasting too strong, a dangerous and delicious combination. If you're a beer person, they have 24 beers on tap.
