Look out, Dayton: there’s a new big burrito in town

We’re always excited to hear of a new restaurant opening in the Dayton area.

While the Miami Valley has become a destination market for many a chicken joint recently, we're pleased to announce that there's a new Mexican restaurant whose burrito may just make you sit up and take notice.

La Isla Del Tico at 2701 E. Third Street in Dayton is so new, they don't yet have a web presence, nor can they accept credit cards before April 17. What they do have is a large dining area for which to wrestle with their sizable burrito.

The burrito comes with your choice of meat, beans, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. If all that sounds too good to pass up, but looks to be too big, fear not. The restaurant, which is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week, also has a smaller version.

The restaurant also offers breakfast, as well as tacos, hamburgers, chicken wings and more, while making their own tortilla chips onsite.

The owners told this news outlet they are still tinkering with the menu and could be adding even more choices soon.
