In recreated photos, the mother of three wears a black pixie-cut wig, ‘90s makeup, a red lip, leather jacket, tank top and light-wash jeans. Instead of “Toni Braxton,” the cover said “Phoni Braxton.”
"Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends," Beyonce wrote on Instagram Tuesday. "Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always. Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens."
In addition to recreating Braxton’s album cover, Beyonce also recreated Braxton’s “Another Sad Love Song” single cover and another photo of the singer.
Braxton herself appreciated the tribute, thanking Beyonce on Twitter.
"Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!! How do you look better than me on MY album cover?" she tweeted Tuesday. "I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis!"
