Spring break is the perfect time to visit DINOSAURS at the Boonshoft

There’s an ancient discovery waiting to be uncovered at the Boonshoft.

Dinosaur Discovery continues through April 14 at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. The exhibit showcases dinosaurs that roamed Earth during the Mesozoic era — the “Age of Reptiles” that ended 65 million years ago.

Giant murals set the scene as visitors discover how dinosaurs lived, what they ate and how paleontologists know the answers to these questions. As visitors wind their way through the interactive maze, they will be given a passport so they can answer questions at nine activity stations found throughout the exhibit and explore the basic “big questions” that all beginners have about dinos.

The museum said coming eye-to-eye with an animatronic Triceratops or even the T-Rex skull that will be on display, is the sort of interaction that could lead to that 7-year-old with a love for dinosaurs becoming the scientific researcher of tomorrow.
