One of the nation's biggest podcast series is taking on justice in "The Rock and Roll Capital of the World."

"Serial," a true story podcast from the creators of "This American Life," bases its third season on the criminal justice system in Cleveland.

The season teaser was released Wednesday on Apple Podcast and other streaming services.

"We chose Cleveland because they let us record everywhere: courtrooms, back hallways, judge's chambers, prosecutors offices," Serial host Sarah Koenig said in the tease.

During the show's first two seasons, a single case was highlighted. But Koenig and reporter Emmanuel Dzotsi will follow many stories this season for the investigative journalism podcast.
