Dayton’s best food and drink to unite for good cause at Steins, Stems, Spirits, Savories & Sweets

An evening of culinary delights benefiting Hospice of Dayton is set for Saturday night. 

This is the third year for Steins, Stems, Spirits, Savories & Sweets, an evening that brings together the best tastes of Dayton.

“This event is so special because it enables us to lift up and highlight the creative chefs of wonderful local restaurants and the craftsmanship of local breweries, wine shops, bakeries and chocolatiers,” said Teri Anderson, the event chair in a release. “Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton emphasizes celebrating life every day, and we are excited to feature businesses from our community that help us celebrate those important milestones in our lives.” 

The event will be held Saturday, May 18, from 7-10 p.m. at The Barn, the corporate headquarters of Ohio’s Hospice, 7575 Paragon Road.

Top chefs from locally-owned eateries including Archer’s Tavern, Bella Sorella Pizza, Carvers Steaks & Chops, Coco's Bistro, El Meson, Flyby BBQ, Greek Street Food Truck, Meadowlark and Wheat Penny Oven & Bar, Sima Japanese & Korean Restaurant and Watermark will serve scrumptious samples of their best work. Rumbleseat Wine will select and pair wine with food selections. Sweets will be served by Cake, Hope, and Love; Greek Street Baklava; Nothing Bundt Cakes; and Signature Confections.

Local breweries offering locally crafted beer include Lock 27 Brewing, Warped Wing Brewing Company and Yellow Springs Brewery in addition to spirits from Buckeye Vodka.

Live entertainment will be provided by Ni/Co, a Nashville-based band featuring Kettering graduate Colton Jones and his partner Dani Brillhart performing a variety of pop/R&B, classic rock and country music; and Tom Downs, a classic guitarist.

Proceeds will benefit patient care and services at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
