Now that all public and private schools are closed in the state of Ohio to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, you might be wondering how you’re going to educate and entertain your children (or yourself!) during this trying time. Well, as it turns out, the Cincinnati Zoo might have a simple and fun easy answer to this dilemma.
Though the Cincinnati Zoo (and many other zoos and museums in the state of Ohio) will be closed for the indefinite future, they are doing their best to keep the community involved from home. Until the zoo reopens, they will be hosting a brand new program. The Home Safari Facebook Live, taking place at 3 p.m. EDT on every weekday, is an educational program highlighting a different animal each day. To make the Facebook event interactive, there will be an activity that the kids can do from home.
The first Facebook Live event featured the beloved Fiona the Hippo.
For more information on this program, and to tune into the Home Safari Facebook Live events each day at 3 p.m., visit the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Facebook page.
