Here are the best routes for a walk or run, as voted by Dayton.com readers in the 2018 Best of Dayton poll:

WINNER: John Bryan State Park

John Bryan is the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The 752-acre park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River, which is designated as a state and national scenic river. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark. There are plenty of trails to hike for hikers of all experience levels.

2ND PLACE: Sugarcreek MetroPark

Sugarcreek MetroPark always has something new waiting to be discovered by visitors. The expansive metropark consists of different types of landscapes as hikers trek further along its many lengthy trails. While you’re there, be sure to find the living tree tunnel.

THIRD PLACE: Charleston Falls Preserve

Charleston Falls Preserve has over 216 acres of prairie and forests and nearly 4 miles of trails. It’s the perfect place to hike and view a gorgeous waterfall.
