Two-day concert to benefit Ronald McDonald House will feature 7-year-old piano sensation

The Brightside Music & Event Venue will be rocking for two whole days to benefit a near and dear charity to Dayton.

Rockin' for RMHC is a two-day fundraising concert to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Dayton on April 12-13. Things kick off on Friday at 4:30 p.m. with a Cutwater Spirits Happy Hour and food from Godfather's Pizza. The concert begins at 6 p.m. and will feature Last Call Trio members Chris Reynolds and David Lenda, with Danny Voris, acoustic rock cover band The Kerry Smith Band and 7-year-old piano prodigy Avett Ray, who is legally blind.

Local music event consultant Rob Bondurant collaborated with The Brightside to support RMHC’s mission to provide community, comfort and hope to families of seriously ill children. “Friday’s tickets for Rockin for RMHC are $10 per person in advance, $15 per person at the door. Saturday’s tickets are $15 per person in advance, $20 per person at the door. VIP tickets, which include admission for both night’s concerts, the Cutwater Spirits Happy Hour on April 12th, and reserved seating at the concert on April 13th, are $30 per person or $50 per couple. VIP tickets must be purchased in advance,” according to a press release.

The second night of this two-day event is Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 6 p.m. with food options available at the Harvest Mobile Cuisine food truck. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with the return of Avett Ray on the piano and The Kerry Smith Band.

Ray has received some national attention for a viral video of Bohemian Rhapsody and was just featured in a Washington Post story for his incredible piano playing abilities.
