A restaurant that has operated in Springboro for 14 years will shut down in two weeks, according to a post early this morning on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“I will be closing my doors October 12. I want to thank the community for all the support over the last 14 years,” the owner of Boro Bistro, 722 N. Main St. (Ohio 741) in the Settler’s Walk retail center, wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
“Boro Bistro has be such an amazing part of my life. I couldn’t have done it with out the love and support of my amazing family, friends and employees.”
According to the bistro’s web site, Corrie Hasenjager is the owner/operator of Boro Bistro, which moved to its current location in 2010 after growing out of the space it occupied for five years at 155 S. Main St. in Historic Downtown Springboro.
Reaction to the announcement was swift.
“This is incredibly sad,” one customer wrote in a comment to the Facebook announcement. “I have enjoyed The Bistro for the last 14 years and is one of my and my families’ favorite places to eat. ... Thank you for the amazing food and atmosphere. You will be deeply missed.”
Another customer wrote, “Oh my gosh this makes my heart break. I love coming there with my friends and my family loves it too. Your business will be greatly missed!”
