Their injuries are believed to be not life-threatening, police said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the juveniles are suspected of stealing a Jeep earlier today in Dayton. The owner’s son saw the vehicle and began following it.

The Jeep rounded the corner at Harvard Boulevard and Dartmouth Drive, where it hit a tree and a parked pickup truck. The collision pushed the truck into another parked vehicle.

The owner’s son, who has a CCW permit, pulled out a handgun and ordered the juveniles to stay on the ground until police arrived.

The 1200 block of Harvard Boulevard in Dayton has been shut down because of a vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that is believed to have hit a tree, another pickup and at least one vehicle.
