New Chick-fil-A restaurant coming to Troy

Residents of Troy who have had to travel out of their way to grab a bite of Chick-Fil-A's signature sandwiches and potato waffle fries won't have to travel far again.

The restaurant chain is going ahead with plans to build a new location in front of the Troy Meijer store at West Main Street (Ohio 41) and Stanfield Road, Jim Dando, Troy development director told our news partner Dayton Daily News Friday morning.

Representatives of the fast-food chain have been in contact with Troy’s zoning officials about the requirements of the restaurant space, and indicated they are moving forward with their plans.

“It seems pretty definite,” Dando said. “Although nothing’s final until they start moving dirt.”

The store would be the first Chick-Fil-A in Troy.
