The new bar is located in the Dietz Block building, built in 1886 at Wayne Avenue and Jones Street, adjacent to Wheat Penny restaurant. It previously housed Norman Miller & Sons Interiors.
In an introductory post in November, owners said the new bar would offer 60 taps for craft beers and ciders, as well as a “wine wall” of boutique wines. A second phase of the project would include a neighborhood market to be called District Provisions, as well as a butcher shop and Latin market.
Christian E, Alvarez, co-owner of Crafted & Cured, declined to provide details of the project Wednesday.
“Since the concepts in the building are a collaborative effort, I would need to get with the other owners before we release any further information,” Alvarez said.
The new business is about three blocks southeast of the “Oregon East” development of Louisville-based City Properties Group, where the Louisville-based Troll Pub Under the Bridge is slated to open a 250-seat bar and restaurant in the vacant Weustoff and Getz Co. building at 210 Wayne Ave. in the spring of 2017.
