NEW DETAILS: More restaurant parking sought after success of new site

A developer is looking to sell land for more parking at a restaurant that opened on Ohio 741 earlier this year.

Operators of the Exchange at Spring Valley are proposing to sell 0.698 acres to Roosters for additional parking to its new site at 9400 Springboro Pike, Miami Twp. records show.

The Ohio restaurant chain/sports bar moved from its former location at 103 N. Springboro Pike in Miamisburg to its larger site this winter. Since then, at peak hours of business patrons have sometimes had to find nearby, off-site parking.

“This parking area is due to the tremendous level of success Roosters has had in this location,” Miami Twp. records show.

The new site — bought in 2017 after Caddy’s Tap house closed — is between the Dayton Mall and Austin Landing, across from LexisNexis. It features about 400 seats and nearly 8,400 square feet, about 25 percent more space, restaurant officials have said.

The chain that started in 1988 has about 30 locations in Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, according to its website.
