People, pets line up to support SICSA at Lift Your Leg event

Another strong turnout of runners, walkers and their four-legged friends participated today in the SICSA Lift Your Leg event at Centerville High School.

The annual 5K/10K race raises money for stray animals to get medical care and to cover adoption costs.

The event typically attracts more than 1,200 people and features an Adoptable Pet Parade comprising animals eligible for adoption from local shelters.

You can support the effort by donating at the event’s website. This year’s fundraising goal is $70,000.
