REPORT: Semi rollover in eastern Greene County knocks down utility pole

The rollover of a semitrailer at Jasper and Plymouth roads in eastern Greene County on Monday night brought down a utility pole.

The driver reportedly was ejected but is conscious and did not in need of a trip to a hospital from the accident reported about 9:47 p.m., according to Greene County Fire Dispatch.

We're also hearing reports of a fuel spill stemming from the wreck.

State Route 72 South has been shut down until further notice, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Farther north on 72, northeast of the village of Jamestown, approximately 153 outages are being reported stemming from a separate vehicle accident.

DP&L spokeswoman Kelly Millhouse said village police alerted DP&L to the accident and reported outages. Crews have been dispatched to take care of the downed pole and wires.
