Video shows the group of teens ransack the store, knocking items from shelves and hitting a 46-year-old cashier across the head with a bottle, KYW-TV reported.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. July 4. Police released video of the incident Tuesday in an effort to identify the teens involved, WPVI reported.

The crowd initially formed around Penn's Landing and traveled up South Street snowballing in size causing lockdowns for many businesses, WPVI reported. One man was jumped by the group before police intervened.

Before reaching the store, the group of teens could be seen on exterior surveillance video running through the street and stopping traffic, WPVI reported.

Earlier this month, a "flash mob" in Wisconsin made off with about $30,000 worth of North Face jackets after running into a store and grabbing the merchandise off the racks then fleeing, police said.
