The local brewery will create one batch of the American Pale Ale specifically for the Community Concert, said Lisa Wolters of Yellow Springs Brewery.
“It’s a beer intended to connect the Miami Valley community,” she said.
It sounds like a great beer to enjoy while experiencing the rootsy rock of Trey Stone and the Ringers and the Delta Blue vibes of Dayton circuit regulars Todd the Fox. For the theater types, check out a special interactive musical performance from the Black Box Improv Theater.
And because of course, we're always wondering about food options, fear not: Food trucks Pa's Pork and The Wicked 'Wich of Dayton will be vending on site as well.
“We cherish the chance to present diversity in our yearly community concert offerings and feature local talent of the highest order,” says WYSO Music Director Niki Dakota. WYSO is the Miami Valley’s only NPR News station with programming from NPR, Public Radio International, American Public Media, PRX and the BBC, along with local and independent radio producers.
Thanks to support from Logos@Work and Wagner Subaru, the family-friendly Community Concert is free to all. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, grab a patch of grass, and savor one of the last days of summer by supporting local public radio with a crisp new local brew, great tunes and a beautiful view. Wins all around.
