For the ninth year running, University of Dayton students and other area revelers rose early the Wednesday before St. Patrick's Day to celebrate Blue Beer Day at Milano's Pizza, Subs and Taps, 1820 Brown St., drinking blue-dyed Budweiser, playing water pong, and enjoying the great weather. Rooted deep in Flyer Country, and surrounded with TVs on every nook and cranny, Milano's on Brown Street is a basketball fan's paradise. Famous for its square-cut pizza and subs.

Bunkers Sports Bar & Grill (Vandalia)

There is a good reason this place has been voted the best place to watch the game in Dayton. The bar is literally surrounded by television screens, so there’s no missing a play…unless you get caught up trying to read all of the more than 40 beers on tap that rotate regularly. The menu is chock full of great American bar fare, included their much-heralded wings (also voted Best of Dayton). But you should do yourself a favor and get there early enough (starting at 8 a.m.) for their ginormous breakfast portions.
