Seeing Young's on the list may not come as a surprise, especially considering the local favorite recently won another award from the Best in Springfield competition.
The spot, located at 6880 Springfield-Xenia Rd. in Yellow Springs, offers a lot more than just great ice cream, though. A fully functioning dairy farm, batting cages and even a year-round restaurant also operate on the property, making it a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.

Not only will the goats and cows greet you at this “udderly” fun family farm, but more than 50 flavors of homemade-on-location ice cream. Prepare to be overwhelmed by choices.
Seasonal flavors include Key Lime Crunch, Chocolate Chunk Black Cherry, Cotton Candy and more. Best-sellers Cow Patty and Chocolate P-Nut Butter are always available. All of the ice cream is made on the farm with a 15-percent butterfat mix, which basically means it’s delicious.
