This new cookie dough shop is coming soon to Miamisburg

Edible cookie dough -- made with toasted flour and no eggs -- is a growing foodie trend. Luckily for us, the Dayton-area has a growing number of options to taste.

The latest, Spoonful, is set to open April 7 in Miamisburg with a grand opening scheduled for April 14. Spoonful is a full-service cookie dough shop that sells dough by the scoop or pint -- or in a cup or a cone. They have multiple toppings to create all the sweet concoctions you can think of.

"The best part about baking cookies, for me, is getting to eat to the leftover dough." says Spoonful owner Lyndsey Rhodus in an interview. "Seeing the response that other shops are getting around the country is exciting and also sparked the idea to open my own place. It's such a unique niche that the revitalization of historic Miamisburg fits the atmosphere customers will experience in the shop."

They also offer one bite on a spoon (a spoonful of cookie dough dipped in chocolate), as well as Doughwiches (cookie dough sandwiches in between two chocolate graham crackers).

Spoonful will also offer catering for events -- a fun twist on a dessert bar.
