The jaw-dropping, jaw-straining burgers from Melt this month

Just in time for their grand opening at The Mall at Fairfield Commons comes this belly buster of a promotion from Melt Bar and Grilled.

The Ohio-based chain has declared June "Old Skool Burger Month," and have peppered their already outrageously imaginative menu with seven options sure to stick to your ribs and fingers. Most of the eight-ounce burgers are available as either ground steak or a house-made veggie patty.

A meat lover’s paradise, this beast comes with honey ham, salami and crisp bacon topped with Swiss and American cheese. Unsurprisingly, there is not a vegetarian or vegan option.

BBQ PIG BURGER

Built with roasted pulled pork, thick-cut onion strings, sweet barbecue sauce and smothered in sharp cheddar cheese, this will most assuredly meet most carnivore's requirements. No, there’s not a chance of vegetarian or vegan option here.

BLACKENED BLUE BURGER

This mess waiting to happen is my personal favorite. Melt uses a blackening spice rub on the patty before topping it with thick-cut onion rings, blue cheese crumbles and a blue cheese dressing. My mouth literally started watering as I wrote that last line. A vegetarian option is available.

EL DIABLO BURGER

As you might guess, this burger is designed for those who like it hot. We’re talking ancho chili pepper, pasilla negro chili, cayenne and chipotle chili rub, fresh jalapeno peppers, honey chipotle sauce and pepper jack cheese. Yowza! A vegetarian and vegan option is also served for this burger.

REVEREND HORTON MEAT BURGER

Whoa! This is damn near an eating challenge. Affectionately named after the rockabilly band Reverend Horton Heat, it’s comprised of two small grilled cheese sandwiches that are deep fried and used as the buns. Between that craziness lies double ground steak patties, crisp bacon and triple American cheese. A vegetarian option is also available.
