Blues and funk inspired Sonny B. Gould takes the stage at Hannah's on Ludlow downtown. Solo singer songwriters, Kevin Crafton and David Berry, start off the night at 10:30pm. Free admission!

Up north, there's a sweet show at Oscar's Bar in Vandalia with Jericho Thyme (9:30-12am) with special guest Sharon Lane (8-9pm). That will certainly be a lively evening of entertaining blues, rock, and jams! Well worth the short trip up 75 for this one. $5 cover.
Also north of town, country fans are in for a treat with Home Free "A Country Christmas Tour"at Hobart Arena in Troy. The 5-man band has become known for their show-stopping performances that mix their signature no-instrument, all-vocal music with their quick-witted humor. Show 8pm. VIP options available. The most anticipated show of the weekend is Jeremy Frederick's North of Nowhere South, an annual celebration to benefit the Izzy Frederick Education Fund. The Haunting Souls were scheduled to play a 30 year reunion this weekend at this benefit show. A family tragedy postponed the reunion, so 3RA1N1AC is now performing with special guests, SUNKEN GIRRAFFE (pre-brainiac cigarhead high-school punk band) and FLESHBATS (old school Dayton punk) at Yellow Cab Tavern. $10 at the door. Door at 8PM. Show at 9PM. 18+ Get there early!

It's an Americana style night with The Roughly Feathered Band and Jake Dunn & the Blackbirds, who are touring this fall, and making a stop at Oregon Express. They are all new on my radar, so should be an interesting one to check out! 9pm. $5 cover. 21+
The music community certainly feels like family, and the jam world unites and celebrates at the Herdman Family Christmas Party Jam at Hannah's, featuring excellent set of musicians: Chris Houser, Dino Dimitrouleas, Charlie Tipton, Jonny Dread, Tbone Themetronome, Sharon A. Lane and Tony Herdman. Now that's a sweet line-up! Very cool! Music from 8pm - 1am. Free show! 21+
