Life on a Limb

One of my favorite local rock bands, The Boxcar Suite, is celebrating the release of their newest EP Life on the Limb tonight, and I couldn't be happier for them! Not only are they total rock stars on stage (have you seen the way Tony Moore plays that guitar? whoa!), but they are literally the sweetest guys ever off stage. Makes their music even more endearing.

I cannot wait to celebrate with them and hope you decide to join us. No matter where your weekend takes you, there is a band or musician calling your name. Read on to find out who!

Sunday April 3rd

I'm in love with this line up at Blind Bob's tonight: Jordan Hull, Charlie Tipton, and Chad Wells! Great Dayton boys who really know how to write and play music. After the Toxic Block Party, this is a great after party - just sayin!

THANK YOU! Hard to believe but it's been a YEAR since I started writing this blog. The intention was to help everyone from hard core music fan to the the random weekend warrior navigate what's going on in live original music in the Gem City. We are the birthplace of funk and have birthed some of the most influential indie rock ever. We have a legacy to be proud of! That legacy continues with our support of the current music scene. We are making history now with innovative acts like Good English and Nightbeast, among many others, like Subterranean, who astound me with their talent and creativity.

Thank YOU for being a cool person who values getting away from your television for a night and seeing live new art and music in your hometown. The arts are the heartbeat of town, and we are the ones keeping it strong! J
