9 retailers rivaling Prime Day with major sales

Prime Day isn’t just for Amazon, and several other retailers are offering major sales online today to counter the summer shopping holiday.

Amazon’s fifth Prime Day started at 3 a.m. today and runs 48 hours through 2:59 a.m. Wednesday. The online giant is listing millions of deals ranging of Instant Pot to 60-inch televisions.

But other retailers like Target and Kohl’s are also getting in on the sales, drawing online shoppers to their sites as well.

Here are several retailers offering major sales today:

1. Target

Target is running it’s Deal Days online only today and Tuesday. Doorbusters include Instant Pot, a Vizio E-Series 70-inch 4K HDR Smart TV for $799, Google Home Smart Speakers, Hoover Vacuums, Keurigs and other home goods, electronics and games.

Last year Target had the biggest online sales day ever on its Deals Days sale lining up with Prime Day.

2. Macy’s

Macy’s Black Friday in July online-only sale ends Tuesday. This year the sale features the Dyson Allergy Extra Vacuum more than half off, kitchen essentials, shoes, apparel, jewelry, purses, beauty and more.

3. Nordstrom

Nordstrom’s anniversary sale launched July 12 and runs through the Thursday for cardmembers. The anniversary sale for non-card members begins Friday. Nordstrom’s anniversary sale is known to offer the biggest markdowns of the year of popular brands like Madewell, Steve Madden and Nike.

4. Kohl’s

Kohl’s 2-day Summer Deals sale is live now and lasts through July 16. During the sale, shoppers can get an extra $10 off $50 with Promo Code SAVE10, 15-20 percent off when using a Kohl’s Charge and/or 15 percent of with promo code JULY15 with any payment method. Shoppers will also receive $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent.

Sales include $19.99 sandals, $15 or less shorts, 60 percent of swimwear, Fitbit, Instant Pot, iRobot Roomba, Dyson vacuums and home goods.

5. GameStop

GameStop also has discounted games, consoles and other merchandise July 7 through Saturday as part of its Game Days Summer Sale.

6. eBay

E-retailer eBay is offering several deals throughout the week including 60 percent off Casio watches, 50 percent off smart home items, up to 40 percent off fitness tech and up to 70 percent off fragrances. There are other hot deals today on HP printer ink, Gillette razors and other health and beauty and tech merchandise.

7. Newegg

Newegg, an e-retailer known for its tech merchandise, launches its Fantastech sale today at noon, but there are some early access deals as well. None of the deals for the actual sale have been revealed yet, but pre-sale deals include an Acer Nitro Gaming monitor for $329.99, a 43-inch LG 4K HDR UHD Smart TV with AI ThinQ for $199 and an Asus 15.6-inch NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 lamptop for $699.

8. JCPenney

JCPenney’s Click Start Your Cart Sale runs through Wednesday with free shipping to stores with no minimum and to homes for orders of $35. Shoppers will get an extra 25 percent off orders of $100 or more and 20 percent off orders less than $100. Deals include air fryers, robotic vacuum cleaners, Google Home minis and other home goods.

9. Best Buy

Best Buy’s 48-hour flash sale ends Tuesday. Some of the top deals include Apple products, laptops, Xbox, televisions and smart phones.
