Local bakery to deliver free cupcakes to commemorate ‘quarantine birthdays’

Along with the cancellation of all major events and social gatherings, those with a birthday in March or April had to forgo major celebrations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily, though, a local bakery has concocted a sweet way to celebrate those who commemorated a birthday during the coronavirus quarantine.

"During these trying times, it is important that we come together, support one another, and celebrate what we do have," the bakery said on its website. "With that mindset, Simply Decadent wants to help our neighbors whose birthdays have been overshadowed by quarantines, COVID-19, and social distancing."

The cupcakes will be delivered on Saturday, April 18 to those within a five-mile radius of the bakery who signed up through April 15.
