The 2018 results will do little to quell the rivalries and allegiances that swirl around the age-old debate over who serves the best steak in Dayton. Several other steakhouses in town — The Oakwood Club, Carvers Steaks & Chops, Paragon Supper Club, Buckhorn Tavern and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar among them — have their enthusiastic supporters.

Last year, in the Dayton.com Best of Dayton 2017, the Oakwood Club placed ahead of the Pine Club for “Best Fine Dining,” although both were eclipsed by Watermark.

In 2015, Carvers Steaks & Chops was awarded “Best Steak” ahead of the Pine Club and the Oakwood Club.

As in past years, the contest is decided by online voting.
