Your guide to finding parking for Art in the City this Friday

This Friday, Art in the City returns to Dayton for a festive day of music, paintings, dancing — and of course, parties.

We've put together a quick guide to help you find the best places to park.

FREE PARKING 

  • The lots adjacent to K12 Gallery & TEJAS near the intersection of Patterson and Jefferson.
  • The Arts Garage near the Schuster Center at Second and Ludlow streets will also be free for Art in the City.
  • Both sides of Wayne Avenue between Fifth Street and Bainbridge Street / Jones Street.
  • Bainbridge Street near Dayton Towers and Franco's Ristorante Italiano.
  • The Wheelhouse-owned parking lot on the corner of Wayne Avenue and Fifth Street across from the Dublin Pub and Corner Kitchen.
  • Stone Street between Jefferson Street and St. Clair Street near The Neon movies.
  • Fourth Street between Wayne and just beyond Walnut Street.
  • Walnut Street between Fifth and Fourth streets.
  • Wyandot Street between Fifth and Fourth streets.
  • Hugo Street between Wayne and Bainbridge.
  • As always, on-street metered spaces are free after 6 p.m.

LOW COST PARKING 

  • The Oregon District Garage, conveniently located next to the new Fifth and Jefferson Party on the Patio, is just $1 after 6 p.m.
  • Closer to RiverScape MetroPark and its Pickin' in the Park event is the Main Street Garage across from CareSource at Main and First streets (enter off First Street) for a $3 flat rate.
