The event is consistently successful and highly anticipated, attracting around 8,000 people each year. Typically, around 90 vendors bring their “handmade awesomeness” to share.

Owners of Urban Handmade, a downtown Yellow Springs business that strives to "give you a one-of-a-kind shopping experience that will liberate you from the mall mentality," are the passionate people behind the festival.

“Early on, we sent out an email to our existing members (vendors & patrons), letting them know that there won’t be a fest this year,” Galvin said. “The response has been supportive.”
However, Cyclops fans will only need to sit out this one year. According to Galvin, plans for the 2018 Fest are already under way.
