JUST IN: Tyler Perry’s Madea farewell tour extended to include a stop in Dayton

Comedy icon, “Madea,” will be hanging up her wig in 2019. However, not before she gives the nation, including the Wright State University Nutter Center, one last laugh. 

Filmmaker and comedian, Tyler Perry, has announced a second round of dates for Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour.” On that list is a show at Wright State’s Nutter Center on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.

 Tickets for the Wright State University Nutter Center show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com and range in price from $48, $68, $78, $88 and $113. Children 2 and older need a ticket for entry.

“Tyler Perry’s “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour” will be Perry’s 21st stage play. In addition to Perry, the play will star Tamela Mann, David Mann and Cassi Davis Patton. Perry made headlines last month when he announced that he would be hanging up Madea’s wig in 2019, with the expected final stage play and the upcoming film “Madea’s Family Funeral,” being released by Lionsgate on March 1, 2019,” according to a press release.
