TONIGHT: Tacos will descend on Dayton in this epic food truck rally

For one night only, a fleet of the area's best food trucks will transform into taco trucks as Smokin' Bee-Bee-Q hosts the second annual Taco Truck Takeover at the Yellow Cab on Friday, June 30.

"We've got a number of really talented chefs inside of these trucks operating in the Miami Valley," Jeff Stringer, owner of Smokin' Bee-Bee-Q said. "This event gives everyone a chance to put their own spin on tacos. From traditional, to modern, and than everything between and beyond, there's going to be a big variety represented."

Joining host truck Smokin' Bee-Bee-Q at the Taco Truck Takeover will be: The Beerded PigHunger Paynes Food TruckThe Painted PepperCarvaso'sThe Drunken WaffleEl Meson, and The Wicked 'Wich of DaytonMAD Sweet Heat will also be on hand with their delicious candied sliced jalapenos and candied jalapeno relish.

The Taco Truck Takeover also features a “best bite contest” where each truck will submit a taco to be evaluated by a panel of judges. Local craft beer will be on draft, dessert trucks will be on site and music is being planned for the event too.

“We want this to be more of a festival,” Stringer said. “This is going to land somewhere between a block party and a street festival… with a whole lot of delicious tacos.”
