Cinco de Mayo is the observance of Mexico’s victory — despite being outnumbered two to one — over the French at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

El Meson will host a two-day Cinco De Mayo celebration May 4-5 that expands outdoors.
With food trucks and alcohol sales out in the lot, the music schedule for the weekend begins Saturday with Ithika from 6-8:30 p.m. and Velvet Crush from 9-11 p.m., and then on Sunday with Until Rust from 12-3 p.m. and Nothing But Treble from 3:30-7 p.m.
On Sunday, a Cinco brunch will be served from noon to 3 p.m.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 4 from 5-11 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 from 12-7 p.m.
