Here's how restaurant owners David and Lee VanArtsdalen broke the news on the Zombie Dogz Facebook page:

“Starting Monday (June 5), we will be adding ZD coneys to our Zombie Dogz mix, and here’s what we’re doing with them: We are introducing a complete kids meal. It comes with a kids’ coney of THEIR choice, which could be a plain dog, or any available gourmet dog offered in store at that time, plus, a yogurt, sliced apples (or seasonal fruit), and their choice of a beverage: juice pack, soda, or water.”

But the restaurant owners pondered what else they could do with the coneys — which are smaller in size than the restaurant’s regular “Dogz” — and came up with a sampler platter of sorts. Starting today, customers can order their choice of any 3 coneys in any of ZD’s gourmet dog options available at the store at that time, and add a side of tater tots, for $10.

“We always get people who want to try more than one, or have kids who can’t eat a whole one, so now I feel like your dreams are coming true,” the VanArtsdalens said.

YOU CAN NOW ORDER ONLINE

In addition, Zombie Dogz also unveiled a new online ordering system through its web site, www.zombiedogzdayton.com.

“You pick and order what you want to your specifications, from everything you’d want to purchase in the store — Dogz, beverages, side items, cupcakes, you name it, you can do it. You pay online, and then you pick up at our store. That’s it!”

“We are always proud to keep upping the ante with our product and business,” the Zombie Dogz owners said. “We aim to please and strive to do the best we can to make everyone happy.”
