From dogs to Oktoberfest and yoga, these 5 events are coming to Vandalia

Vandalia has five events from Friday through the end of September to enjoy before the colder months arrive.

Friday

The last Farmer’s Market of the year for Vandalia is Friday. It is located at Seger Park next to the Vandalia Recreation Center. There is locally grown produce for sale, crafts, live music and food trucks. The Farmer’s Market will be back next year. The market is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday

Monday is the Soggy Doggy Dip at the Cassel Hills Pool on Taylorsview Drive. Pet owners can bring their furry doggy friends to the pool from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It is the last day you can enjoy the pool this year.

The ultimate guide to Labor Day weekend in Dayton

Sept. 7 and 8

City leaders encouraged people to attend Oktoberfest at the Vandalia Sports Complex. The band to headline the weekend is the Menus. Enjoy fun, food and drinks. This event is put on by the Vandalia Sister Cities. It runs from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday and noon to midnight on Saturday.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

The Vandalia Recreation Center will host an evening to climb the three-story wall, for free. You can climb the wall from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for free.

Week of Sept. 24

The last week of September, from Sept. 24-28, the Vandalia Recreation Center will host free yoga class. All patrons should check the schedule for a class time that works best for them. Visit the Rec Center’s website for further information.
