TWO new Winans Chocolates + Coffee shops opened this week

Two new Winans Chocolates + Coffees opened on Monday, Jan. 13, in Sidney and in downtown Dayton, becoming the 19th and 20th locations for the Piqua-based chain.

“We have taken our time building out two great retail spaces, and the wait will be worth it,” Winans’ owners Joe Reiser and Laurie Winans Reiser said in a release.

The downtown Dayton chocolate, coffee and wine shop at 221 N. Plans call for a grand opening to be held on Friday, Jan. 17 in conjunction with the Downtown Dayton Partnership, Wedding said.

“We are just really excited to have a presence in downtown Dayton,” Wedding said last week. “There are so many great events happening and things to do in this immediate vicinity, with RiverScape MetroPark, the bike trail, nearby 2nd Street Market, and the Dayton Dragons at Fifth Third Field. We look forward to getting to know our neighbors and to be able to share Winans Chocolates, Coffees and wine.”

The Sidney shop is located at 1019 Wapakoneta Ave.

The new Sidney store will boast a drive-thru window and an outdoor seating area, Reiser said.
