Ladner, a hair educator, confirmed by phone and Facebook Messager that the salon is for sale and what he has planned next.

“I would like to say that this is a celebration for myself and Vince!,” he said via Facebook. “Selling the salon is a chapter in our brand that is something we are extremely excited about. I just signed with a brand as their Brand Ambassador. I travel the world teaching and inspiring my industry. My focus has shifted to reach more people and give back,” he said.

Ladner said he and Vince plan to remain based in Dayton.

“My focus is educating, and I’m going international soon with my education brand and with Oligo (hair products). So, my focus has evolved,” he said.

Ladner said the price is negotiable for the salon. The J Ladner brand is not for sale.

He has amassed more than 127,000 fans on the itsmrjladner Instagram.

The salon’s post reads:

If you have outgrown, overcome, it does not feed your soul anymore, you're ready for something new, you are fed up, you need a new NEW.
I call it, Adapting and Evolving.

When I put my salon for SALE, I didn’t stop by overall passion of educating, inspiring and mentoring, I took steps to the world rather inside the 4 walls. But I DID STOP, owning a salon wasn’t for me anymore. It doesn’t lead my heart and what I have realized is that I have more to offer myself and the world. I dropped my ego off on the baggage claim and said (with help if my mentors) bye bye this was amazing and made me who I am, BUT it’s not who I am anymore!! I STOPPED, but also, kept going onto a new focus!

It's OK  to let go, set on fire, and move onto a new adventure! I don't know who in the world said that when you want to go to do something else equals failure but let me just tell you something!!!! FAILURE is staying, making yourself and everyone around you miserable, and being STUCK!
It you are ready to STOP one thing to pick up the next, I hope you do!!!
Disclaimer** my salon is on the market to buy!! It hasn't moved hands yet! I can't wait to see what the next person does with it!!!
