Local florist shop is celebrating 30 years — and you’re invited to the party

A local floral shop is marking 30 years of business with a celebration today and tomorrow, April 26-27.

Morning Sun Florist was founded in 1989 by Darla Hiser in Tipp City. The shop moved to Centerville and then relocated last fall to the Shops of Oakwood at 2411 Far Hills Ave.

“Morning Sun couldn’t have reached this milestone without the support of its loyal customers and employees. I am beyond grateful that I get to do what I am passionate about every day, and that so many people consider Morning Sun a peaceful respite from their daily stresses,” Hiser said in a press release.

In addition to premium fresh cut flowers and uncommon houseplants, Morning Sun carries a variety of unique gifts including antiques, jewelry, and many handcrafted items from around the world.

To honor customers old and new, Morning Sun will be having a two-day celebration today from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All are welcome for bubbly, lite bites, raffle prizes, gifts with your Juliska purchases, and a trunk show from local jewelry artist Jannie Brown who will donate all proceeds to SICSA.
