Want to get fit? New wellness studio to open downtown

Downtown Dayton will be getting a new studio focused on holistic health this September.

WellSpace, a startup fitness and wellness studio, will have a grand opening 5 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Bindering Building at 116 N. Jefferson St.

The center will have yoga and pilates classes, nutrition sessions, meditation, life coaching and strength conditioning programs among its offerings, according to a release about the 7,200-square-foot studio’s opening.

“At WellSpace, we acknowledge that each individual’s balance is just as unique as they are,” Matt Parente, partner and co-founder of WellSpace, said in a statement. “The multiple offerings of each mind, body, spirit trainings found at WellSpace are designed to personalize your experience, and we have excellent instructors to guide you through each practice.”

The grand opening will have demonstrations from WellSpace’s staff, music and plant-based hors d’oeuvres.

The new business joins other new development on the block, including CareSource's new six-story office building under construction at the 100 block of East First Street.
