HAPPENING NOW: Fall for these special comfort dishes and deals during Dayton fall food week

Ready your forks for fall food week.

Dayton-area restaurants will put fall on a plate during a food week set to kick off this Sunday, Oct. 21.

The Miami Valley Restaurant Association's second annual 7 Days of Fall Flavors will run until Sunday, Oct. 28, according to Amy Zahora, the association's executive director.

“Restaurants will show off the flavors of fall on their menus,” Zahora said.

Meals includes three-course meals for $25 or $30.

Dinners generally include a choice of starter, entree and dessert. Items are subject to change.

About 10 restaurants will participate including:

  • Pasha Grill, 72 Plum St., Beavercreek
  • Chappys Social House, 7880 Washington Village Dr.,  Washington Twp., Montgomery County
  • Sweeney's Seafood Bar and Grill, 28 W. Franklin St, Centerville
  • Lily's Bistro, 329 East Fifth St., Dayton's Oregon District
  • The Melting Pot, 453 Miamisburg Centerville Road, Centerville
  • Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, 3500 Rigby Road, Miamisburg
  • Bravo! Cucina Italiana locations at 2731 Fairfield Commons in  Beavercreek and 2770 Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Centerville.

  • Pumpkin Shrimp - three extra large ground pumpkin seed and panko breaded fried shrimp with house-made sweet pumpkin pie yogurt dipping sauce
  •  Smoked salmon crepe - handmade crepe filled with cold Norwegian smoked salmon and housemade dill crème fraiche
  •  Fall cheese plate -double Crème Brie with candied walnuts, pear slices and multi grain baguette bread

  •  Acorn Squash Soup topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and chives
