Get your oyster fix during this downtown Dayton restaurant’s Oyster Fest 

Escape to the ocean shores this winter! 

Imagine that you’re taking a culinary trip somewhere warm and sunny this month as Lily’s Bistro hosts the return of Oyster Fest on Tuesday, Jan. 15 through Saturday, Jan. 19 during dinner hours.

A selection of $2 fresh oysters, fried oysters, oyster shooters and daily rotating oyster specials will be featured throughout the week happening Jan. 15-19. 

The $2 raw oysters on the half shell will be served with cocktail sauce and lemon. The oysters will be sourced from around the country depending on what's freshest and available including Atlantic, Pacific and PEI oysters. 

Special preparations will include zesty "Bloody Mary" oyster shooters, refreshing "Gin and Tonic" oyster shooters and fried oysters with a tangy creole remoulade.

Rotating featured specials include a fried oyster Po' Boy with iceberg lettuce, creole spicy mayonnaise, tomato and pickle served with handcut fries, a baked oyster Rockefeller, "deviled" oysters and oyster soup.

“We were so excited with the response from our first Oyster Fest last year we couldn’t wait to bring it back,” said owner Emily Mendenhall. “The holidays are bright and cheery, but a lot of those classic dishes are heavy comfort foods. Oyster Fest is all about getting something bright, fresh and delicious to start the new year with. Although we’ll have fried oysters for our friends who don’t do raw, too.”

“All oysters come in fresh each day so we do expect to sell out of the available oysters on the half shell each night,” Mendenhall said.

“Additionally, we’ll also have some specially-priced bottles of champagne throughout the week because oysters and champagne is such an iconic pairing,” she said.
