The just-opened Reza’s on Wayne Avenue in downtown Dayton will roll out a new, carefully crafted slushy each week. Reza’s kicked off its first week of business with an insanely fresh slushy that made me beg to know what next week’s will be.

Instead of the one or two artificial, sugary ingredients that many slushies contain, the rosy red slushy I tried was made with rosemary, local honey and local lemons and strawberry. It was everything a summer treat should be, and I truly felt like I was treating myself.
Reza’s owner Audri Maki let me know that next week the shop will be making a “Cherry Cream Cold Brew Slushy.” A slushy infused with Reza’s cold brew? We’ll take one every day of the week.

The 3,500-square-foot Reza’s Downtown seats 50 to 60 in multiple seating areas, including a parlor that can be rented for special events.
Reza’s is located at 438 Wayne Ave. in the Oregon District.
Reza’s Downtown’s hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is closed Sunday.
