It's called the Mad Science Escape Puzzle Room, and you'll need to beware of zombies. This attraction is designed to scare you off course before the clock strikes zero -- or until YOU crack the code.
They're called "escape rooms" or "puzzle rooms," and they’re part of the latest amusement and entertainment craze. Dayton has opened one in Centerville and they're out to scare your pants off before you find a means of escape. Mad Science Escape is located inside of Laser Web Dayton, inside Normandy Square Shopping Center.
“We’re really excited to offer another way for families, friends, and co-workers to share an amazing entertainment experience," said Jerry Weber, president of Web Entertainment, Inc. “Our focus is making memories for our guests, and this is attraction brings people together to do just that.”
It’s suggested that you choose your teams wisely before entering.
“The teams who communicate with each other and engage the elements of the game are going to be the most successful,” stresses Rick Broida, Mad Science Escape game designer and owner of Escape Rooms Michigan. “It always comes down to the finish as teams are racing to solve the final puzzle.”
If you’re wondering why you’ve never heard of these interactive attractions, the escape room concept originated online. Now they have emerged as a real-world experience where players test their ability to communicate with other players and reach a common goal.
The game is designed for 4-10 players and is perfect for friends, families, church groups and corporations looking to share a new experience that will build trust within the team.
