Talking Heads tribute band to perform complete re-creation of ‘Stop Making Sense’ this weekend

Watch out! This Must Be The Party is once again uniting in Dayton to ‘burn down the house!’

The local, all-star tribute band will perform a complete re-creation of the legendary album and documentary “Stop Making Sense” by the Talking Heads.

This act blasted onto the Dayton scene in 2017 with a performance that got rave reviews from "that was utterly amazing" to "the best thing I've seen on stage ever in Dayton!"

  

It's been a nearly two-year wait for fans to see this incredible act perform again. The crew is back on Friday, April 19, for a one-night performance at newly renovated Brightside Music & Event Centerlocated at 905 E. 3rd St. in downtown Dayton.

A 9-piece afro-funk-jazz band, Ernie Johnson from Detroit, will kick off the party as the openers at 8:30 p.m. with a 90-minute heart thumping set.

The band's dynamic horn section will get everyone warmed up and out on the dance floor. "It's hard to resist their infectious and funky grooves," said Libby Ballengee, our Dayton Music Insider.
