WORTH THE DRIVE: Prepare for 2 days of tacos and tequila at the Columbus Taco Fest

Your foodie wishes have been granted: The Columbus Taco Fest will be returning for a third time this upcoming May.

Attendees of the Columbus Taco Fest can look forward to enjoying two days of tacos, tequila, Mexican beer, live music and fun on May 16-17 in Genoa Park. Though the vendor list has yet to be announced (be sure to follow the Taco Fest's Facebook page to stay on top of any updates regarding live music lineups and vendor lists), the Columbus Taco Fest's organizers, Hugo Albornoz and Sydney Kondas, have mentioned that this year's event will have even more taco trucks and live entertainment.

“From the very beginning our goal as a team was to host a new and exciting festival that the people in our home city would love, and we feel like we have achieved that,” said Albornoz and Kondas. “The goal now is to continue to come back, year after year, and improve more than the last, which is why we are so thrilled to have two days to enjoy tacos, tequila and music with our favorite community.”

Albornoz, Kondas and the taco fest team have worked hard to donate the proceeds from the previous festivals to local non-profit organizations. In 2020, much of the proceeds from the event will benefit WAV (We Amplify Voices), which partners with professional music producers to create radio-ready songs in under-served communities and special needs classrooms.
