If you’re reading this, it’s highly likely that you know at least one person who has a quote from “The Office” at-hand for nearly every situation (or maybe, this person is you). Do you ever mutter the phrase “bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica” under your breath, almost involuntarily? Do you think that Jim and Pam have the television romance of the century?
If you answered “yes” to any of these statements or questions, keep reading.
On Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.,“The Office! A Musical Parody” is coming to the Victoria Theatre in downtown Dayton.
Die-hard fans of the show can look forward to the same sort of antics on stage. Similar to the plot of the show, the musical follows a typical day at Scranton, Pennsylvania’s third-largest paper company — only they are all being filmed by a documentary crew. All of the beloved characters from the show will make appearances throughout the musical.
Writers Bob and Tobly McSmith have penned other pop-culture parodies like “Katdashians! Break the Musical!” and “Full House! The Musical!”
"’The Office! A Musical Parody’ is on track to be our most successful New York production in 10 years," said Tobly McSmith. “As Michael might say, ‘It's been a dream come thru.’"
Tickets start at $32 and can be purchased at ticketcenterstage.com or by calling (937) 228-3630 or (888) 228-3630. Tickets for the show are nearly sold out so be sure that you snag yours as soon as possible.
