Led by Nelson Hulce, founder of the Dayton Aikido Club, an hour of introduction and practice of the Long Yang form of Tai Chi Chuan will be held every Thursday at 7 p.m. with a suggested donation of $5.

Nelson Hulce has been a student of the martial arts since 1966, specializing in the art of Aikido for 34 years, according to the event’s page. His focus has been on diving deep into Tai Chi in recent years.

"Tai chi is often described as 'meditation in motion,' but it might well be called 'medication in motion,' according to an article by Harvard Health. "There is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems."
